Special Matsumoto Live at Hakobune
Snooze Potato makes its mark in new prefecture! This time we went to Matsumoto in Nagano. It’s not nearly as far as Sapporo, so we were joined by some special guests who came to see our show — including my brother and sister-in-law!
It may be selfish to ask them to come along with me to a live show, but hopefully they had a good time. Besides, Matsumoto is a beautiful city, and the weather was great. We were able to enjoy our time in Nagano even outside the live house. Of course, we visited Matsumoto Castle and strolled down some of the traditional streets. There even happened to be a local festival on that weekend which filled the atmosphere with cheer. I imagine that the city is flooded with tourists by now, so it was really good timing.
The livehouse we performed at was called 箱舟 (hakobune). The staff was so welcoming, and Nagano’s local bands showed their passion with fiery performances! Joining us on the stage was しなのユーキ, イヤホンガール, ADAMASTARS, and more. Even against the youthful energy of student bands, I have to say, the standout was しなのユーキ (Shinano Yuuki). You can see why.
Our trip to Matsumoto was memorable in many ways. I am so grateful we were able to perform there among friends. I hope to go back again someday! Please check out the gallery below!
